[vc_row][vc_column][vc_custom_heading text=”Decree No. 770 Transitional Provisions for the Regulation of Business Registration Renewal and Location Registration” font_container=”tag:h2|text_align:center”][us_separator][vc_column_text]Due to the COVID-19 pandemic emergency and its negative effects on the economy, the Official Gazette published Decree No. 770 on November 24, 2020. This decree contains the Transitional Provisions for the Regulation of Business Registration Renewal and Location Registration, which allow sole proprietors and companies to fulfill the obligation of renewing their business registration and to register their branches, agencies, or commercial locations for 2020 and for any pending cases. To do so, only the pertinent application for the corresponding year must be submitted, accompanied by the closing balance of the previous fiscal year and by paying only the registration fees corresponding to 2020.
These provisions exempt sole proprietors and companies from paying registration fees for years prior to 2020 and from any fines or surcharges for all years, including the current year, as well as from submitting financial solvency certificates or any other documentation. In this way, merchants are given the opportunity to operate within the framework of the law, fulfilling their formal obligations while achieving substantial savings. These provisions will be in effect until December 31, 2020.[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row]
