Here are the COVID-19 related requirements:

Present a negative COVID-19 test taken within the last three calendar days before travel, or documentation from a certified healthcare provider showing recovery from COVID-19 within the 90 days prior to travel. Children under 2 years old are exempt.

The test must be viral (NAAT or antigen) and must be authorized by the relevant national authority of the country where it is administered. In Central America, there are sufficient tests available in the private sector.

The documentation of the test result must include information that identifies the person, the date the sample was taken, and the type of test. The negative test result must include information showing that the test was taken within the 3 days before the flight. The positive test result must include information showing that the test was taken within the 3 months prior to the flight.

Before boarding the flight, you must present either physical or electronic documentation of the negative test result to be reviewed by the airline. Additionally, a public health official may request to review it again upon arrival in the United States, so it is recommended to keep a copy.
