The administrative management of Land Transportation entailed by the new extraordinary and temporary Law for the documentary reorganization of public land transportation of passengers and cargo

[/vc_column_text][us_separator][vc_column_text]For a long time, the transportation sector and its peculiar ways of proceeding have been controversial, from the cumbersome procedures that must be carried out in order to legally register transport units, to the criticisms of the slow service and poor results that they present to users. But thanks to the approval of the new Law, the transportation sector sees greater benefits with the new transportation law, which will provide a series of incentives and which was sanctioned by the President of the Republic, Juan Orlando Hernández, and on which the leaders of the sector agreed. You should know, my dear reader, that with this legislation, public transportation, which has been so long awaited by users, will be organized, modernized, and dignified, and will allow tax benefits for the transportation sector throughout the country and for the citizens in general. Transporters have welcomed the news, as it benefits them and has been one of their struggles. This was achieved through a consensus with the Honduran Institute of Land Transportation (IHTT) commission. With these agreements and this new law, transporters envision replacing old units with new, worthy units that will benefit you, since the agreements include exemption from the introduction of vehicles and the non-payment of Income Tax (ISR). This reform also guarantees investors clear rules for their investments, ensuring the registration of units to operate legally, as the main objective is the user, and ensuring all the necessary conditions are met to guarantee investment and the sustainability of the transport sector. This law also includes changes to the way permit applications are processed, as until now these have always been cumbersome, difficult, and time-consuming procedures. With the changes presented in this law, we hope that the transportation system will show significant change so that there will be progress for businesses and they will be able to reestablish their economy from the difficult situation they are currently experiencing due to the pandemic. As well as for users, they will be able to receive dignified treatment with modern and safe units where transportation can be carried out quickly and safely, since maintaining user safety is part of the agreement. For all of this, the Secretary of State in the Finance Office (SEFIN) was authorized to carry out budgetary operations to make the pertinent changes and grant bonuses, in order to do things transparently and in accordance with the law.
