Jaime Garro has extensive experience in the field of Criminal Law, particularly in economic crimes, environmental offenses, and traffic law, both in defense and in the formulation of complaints and civil actions for compensation for damages. He has served as the head of the Legal Department of the National Insurance Institute and, in private practice, has advised on insurance claims related to extracontractual civil liability and maritime claims.

- Handled the Civil Defense for a claim for compensation for damages against a multinational oil company following an explosion at a Gas Station, where two minors died and others were injured, reaching a satisfactory settlement for all parties involved.
- Advised in the defense of a pineapple production company accused of environmental damage and pollution, achieving the acquittal of the clients in a lengthy judicial process.
- Defended both the company and its administrators personally in a fruit concentrate company accused of environmental pollution, resulting in the dismissal of charges against the defendants during the intermediate stage of the process.
- Graduate in Legal Sciences, Lawyer, and Notary, University of Costa Rica; Specialist in Criminal Sciences from the Postgraduate System of the University of Costa Rica. Authorized by the Bar Association of Costa Rica to practice law (1983) and by the Supreme Court of Justice of Costa Rica (now the General Directorate of Notary) to practice notary (1983).
