This covers recovered travelers who received a single dose of the COVID-19 vaccine from their health authority, and this is reflected on their vaccination document as "Dosis1/1" (one dose of one).
- In the case of quarantine – starting April 1, 2022 –:
In the event of COVID-19 infection during their stay in Costa Rica, tourists must undergo a 7-day quarantine or isolation period. This isolation period cannot be interrupted if a negative test result is taken during the period. Accommodation costs during isolation must be covered by the tourist, either with their own resources or through insurance. All tourists entering the country are advised to purchase a sufficiently comprehensive insurance policy that covers medical expenses and extended quarantine stays in the event of a possible COVID-19 infection.
