HONDURAS MUNICIPAL AMNESTY – FOR DECEMBER 27 AND 28, 2021.
[/vc_column_text][us_separator][vc_column_text] According to the publication in the Official Gazette, La Gaceta, dated December 24, 2021, under number 35,806 and registered under Decree number 99 – 2021, the Municipal Amnesty is found in its article 5. Said article is cited below:“Grant, until December 28, 2021, a Municipal Tax Amnesty in all municipalities in the country, for the payment of fines, surcharges, interest on debts, surcharges, and any other type of surcharges caused by late payment, which have been accumulated administratively or judicially as of the date of publication of this Decree, in the payment of all municipal taxes, fees, and contributions; natural or legal persons may pay their taxes free of late charges during the period of validity of this Amnesty in accordance with the provisions herein. The Municipality may establish payment plans outside the period of validity of this Article. In order to achieve the sanitation and recovery of municipal finances nationwide, the amnesty, or a discount and amnesty of twenty percent (20%) will be applied.”It should be noted that said amnesty will only last two (2) days, that is, December 27 and 28, two thousand twenty-one (2021) and it covers debts generated until December 24, the date of publication in the Official Gazette La Gaceta.
